Bio
Karon Phillips Goodman

I think I've been writing as long as I can remember. I can honestly say that it's the only thing I ever truly wanted to do as my life's work, and I'm so happy to share it with you. I've been a stepmom since 1996, and my life pretty much revolves around my writing and my husband, son and stepsons.

In addition to the online works you can view from here, I've also written for a variety of print publications, including Woman's Day, Bride Again, Petersen's Bowhunting, Writer's Digest and others. I worked for the Boy Scouts of America several years ago and wrote training programs, grants and promotional materials. Before that, I worked as a reporter and columnist for a small daily newspaper. About a thousand years ago, I graduated from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. Today, I concentrate mostly on my books, and greatly enjoy the close and immediate interaction with readers that the Internet makes possible.

When I take some time off from my work, I enjoy hiking and mountain climbing, gardening, painting, and sewing. My least favorite thing to do is cook, followed closely by shopping. I tell everyone I'm waiting for Opie to deliver my groceries in a cardboard box, and then I'd never have to leave my house again! I'm just a terrible homebody, but I guess that's okay considering the work I've chosen. I wish you as much satisfaction with the work you've chosen for your life.
