Welcome . . . I'm glad you're here. Maybe we'll get to visit in person one day, but in the meantime, I'll tell you that I'm a writer and speaker from the mountains of east Alabama, in a little community called Shinbone. I'm as low-tech as a carbon copy, a terminal coffee-drinker and a reformed perfectionist. I'm a hit-and-miss cook, a tireless gardener, before daylight riser and slow reader. I love to work, not work out. I don't own any sandals or lipstick. I color my gray and always have a plan. I'm never bored and regularly amazed. I won't eat seafood, chew gum or go barefoot. I love big dogs, warm weather and authentic people. I find humor everywhere and believe everybody can teach me something. I love to hang out my wash, go to the library and travel to meet readers. I'm an eager recycler, respectable shot and infant disciple held by the greatest God who loves and leads me without fail. I want to be generous and patient and wise, and on some days, I am.
